GOODSEED DAILY DEVOTION: June 7, 2025

Topic: God Doesn’t Bless Empty Hands

VERSE OF THE DAY: Deuteronomy 30:9 .
Then the Lord your God shall make you abundantly prosperous in
everything that you do, in the offspring of your body and in the
offspring of your cattle and in the produce of your land; for the Lord will again delight over you for good, just as He delighted over your fathers.

As Christians, we often pray for God to bless and prosper us. However,
we must ask ourselves: what work are we doing for God to bless?
According to the scripture above, God promises prosperity in everything
we do, but He does not bless those who do nothing or are lazy.
If you are merely sleeping in church, praying for prosperity without
taking action, you are wasting your time. God calls us to work and to be
diligent. A lazy person will remain poor; God is not a magician. James 2:20, 26
But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
God does not bless empty hands. You must do something or plant seeds in
order for God to bless you and bring forth a bountiful harvest.
Prayer: Lord, bless the works of my hands and make me abundantly prosperous in Jesus name. Amen.
