Topic: Holding Fast to Your Confession and Belief
VERSE OF THE DAY: 2 Corinthians 4:13. “Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had, who wrote in Scripture, ‘I believed, therefore I spoke.’ We also believe, therefore we also speak.”
In the Bible, the term “confession” means agreement with God, which
is believing what God says. What are you believing? Have you been
speaking about it? Some Christians claim to believe, but if they aren’t
vocalizing their beliefs, it may indicate they don’t fully believe yet.
Without expressing their faith, they will see no results.
Walk and talk by faith. If what you say doesn’t align with God’s Word,
you are not pleasing Him.
Your confession reflects your faith. If you say, “I am always sick,”
you are expressing what you expect and believe. Want to gauge your
faith? Pay attention to what comes out of your mouth.
“Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through
the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.” — Hebrews 4:14
Confess what you believe in the power of Jesus Christ: He is my Lord, my
healer, my salvation, my provider, my protector, and my everything.
Hallelujah and glory to our Lord!
We must agree with Him by speaking His words, rather than focusing on
our problems. When fear knocks at your door, open it and respond with
faith. Have a response of faith ready for the temptations of fear. The
devil will tremble and flee when you act in faith according to God’s Word.
Prayer: Lord, I overcome every problem and fear of this world. I am a
conqueror in Jesus’ name. Amen.
