Topic: JESUS STANDING AT THE DOOR

Foundational Scripture:” Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:20 NKJV).

Jesus Christ, the savior of the world, wants a closer relationship with you. In the first instance God created man in His image. “Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness—” (Gen 1 :26). At creation the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ was not yet manifested. God almighty has given the power to people to make choices regarding their ultimate destiny. (Ref to Deuteronomy 30:15-20). Jesus knocks on the door of people’s hearts because He wants a relationship with people, but Jesus Christ would not force us. He is very humble and gentle. He wants people to choose Him.

He is calling Christians who are becoming complacent in their faith to return to Him. By knocking on the door of people’s hearts, Jesus Christ is offering a two-way relationship, saying, “I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me”
Through the revelation given by Jesus to John to write to the churches and specially to the Laodicean church to repent for becoming complacent in their prosperity and abandoning their faith in Jesus.
Jesus was inviting the Laodicean Christians to realize how their own self-sufficiency has shut Him out of their lives. He was offering them a second chance.

In our time also, if you are becoming complacent in your lifestyle of riches and achievements, with weak and wavering faith, Jesus is calling you to repent and return to Him.
Those of you becoming complacent and for whatever reasons diverting from your faith and not a regular attendee in the gatherings of saints, Jesus is calling you “come home, come home”

Prayer: Softly and tenderly, Jesus is calling, calling for you and for me…
See, on the portals He’s waiting and watching, watching for you and for me.
Come Home In Jesus Name. Amen
