TOPIC: DUTIES OF THE BELEIVER
BIBLE TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 5:14-17 KJV
Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. [15] See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. [16] Rejoice evermore. [17] Pray without ceasing.
Dearly beloved, take note of the following responsibilities of the believer ;
1. We are to care enough about others ( especially Christians) that we are prayerfully concerned even about those who we don’t know properly.
2. Encourage the faint hearted by allowing the Lord to open our eyes to the possibilities of how to encourage others prayerfully.
3. Help the weak, we can help those who are weak in faith to grow deeper in the word and prayer. We can encourage those who are weak toward temptation as well.
4. Be patient with them all. We must remember that we are all in one journey with the Lord and at different points in the journey, We must learn to bear one anothers burden in Christ.
May the Lord guide you as you fulfil his purpose in you in relationship to others in Jesus Name. Amen . James 4 v 7 -8
Submit yourselves therefore to God resist the devil and he will flee from you, draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Submit to God as he has cared for us, provided for us, protected us. It shall be well with you in Jesus Name.
Prayer: Father continue to increase your grace upon our life oh Lord break us and mould us for your glory in Jesus’ name amen.
