Topic: DON’T BE AN ENEMY OF THE CROSS
Bible Text: Philippians 3 v 18
For many walks, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ..
Jesus died on the cross for our redemption. There are many people that live in a manner which showed that they are strangers to the pure gospel brought by our Lord Jesus Christ.
An immoral life is enmity to the cross of Christ; for he died to make us holy. A life where there is no evidence that the heart is renewed, is an enemy to the cross; for he died that we might be renewed.
A life of lying and cheating is against the gospel for He died to make us righteous.
A life of fighting and bitterness and unforgiveness is against the gospel of Jesus Christ.
There are many enemies of the cross in and outside the church
There are many who come to church but have never been born again.
There are many who are still living in their own known sin even if when they know that what they are doing is against Christ. There are many who don’t manifest the Christ way of living even though they confess they love Christ.
There are many who have more interest in worldly affairs than they have in the cause of the Redeemer.
Today, I pray that your heart be melted with the love of Christ- so you can live in line with the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Prayer:
Pray that the holy spirit will open our eyes so that You will not be the enemies of the cross but You will honour and have a thankful heart always to our saviour for what He did on the cross for us. Amen
