WE ARE ONE WITH GOD!
Scripture: Romans 8:35, 38-39 GNB
“Who, then, can separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble do it, or hardship or persecution or hunger or poverty or danger or death?
For I am certain that nothing can separate us from his love: neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers or powers, neither the present nor the future, neither the world above nor the world below — there is nothing in all creation that will ever be able to separate us from the love of God which is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The scripture above shows us that once adopted as a son or daughter by God because of what Jesus did on the Cross, we become one with God just as our Reconciler is one with God – “I and my Father are one.” John 10:30 KJV.
I perceive you feel like you have let God down and no longer deserve to be called His son or daughter or because you are going through issues that seem not to go away you feel disconnected from God. No, our relationship with God is a blood sealed covenant. From His end, there is no separation, there is no divorce. He is there always even when you make mistakes he does not change His mind about you.
Married people should apply this principle also. No matter where your spouse has failed you, you are still stuck to each other. Nothing should be able destroy the love you have for your wife and husband. At times our relationship with God is tried such as when we face trials and it looks as if God is far or that God is no longer interested in us. He is always interested. That should be your attitude towards your wife or husband. Issues may come between two of you but always remember what you have for each other from the beginning.
Confess this loud: Lord, thank you for your ever abiding love. I am confident that no matter what may come my way, you are with me, you are for me and so I will always overcome.
