GOODSEED DAILY DEVOTION January 26th, 2026

Topic: DEALING WITH DIFFICULT PEOPLE

Verse of the Day: Romans 12:18
“If it is possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men”

Whether at work place, social place, church gathering or even at home, you may encounter someone who turns out to be difficult to understand and work with. It is not an excuse to be rude or irritated. God still expects you to love such a person as scriptures encourages us to bless them who persecute us!

Difficult people can come in different shapes such as:
– Aggressive people – the verbally bullish and the intimidating person
– The extraterrestrial (the person from another planet)
– The victim – the person who believes that the world and you are somehow plotting against them
– The “mood Hoover” – the negative person who sucks the positive energy out of a room and has a default setting of “no”
– The know-all – the person who knows more than anyone else about everything and is determined to prove it
– The lazy person – the person who does the least possible in the greatest possible time
– The yes but no but – the person who talks a good talk and fails to deliver.

Just be aware that each person you meet in life is different from you and see and do things differently. So be patient with all. Show understanding. Be the mature one. You can only defeat evil with good. No matter who you encounter let your light still shine.
Irrespective of how difficult that person is, let harmony be your watchword -“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”

Prayer: Oh Lord, grant me the grace to love liberally and overlook other people’s shortcomings in Jesus name.
