BE FAITHFUL
Memory verse: Proverbs 20:6
“Everyone talks about how loyal and faithful he is, but just try to find someone who really is!”
Proverbs 20:6 KJV
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?
How faithful are you to your friends and in your assignments and to God , your maker?
Attributes of faithfulness:
1: keeping promise
2 Remaining loyal in good and bad times
3. Ability to speak the truth to your friends at all times even when it hurts in order to save them from the consequences of their actions –
“Better to correct someone openly than to let him think you don’t care for him at all. Friends mean well, even when they hurt you. But when an enemy puts his arm around your shoulder—watch out!”

4. Gives sound advise
“Oil and perfume rejoice the heart; so does the sweetness of a friend’s counsel that comes from the heart.”
Proverbs 27:9 AMP
Peter in the New Testament was the only disciple that had the boldness to chastise our Saviour Jesus in the open in Matthew 16:22. Though Jesus tried to silence him because He did not want the others to be frightened and discouraged but he was faithful to the end of Jesus ministry. Another example was Moses’s Father in law who among many rebuked Moses and advised him to delegate others to do some of his jobs.
Be faithful to those who trust you. Do not be a fair weather friend who hides from your friends when the road is hard and want to be the right hand man when they succeed.
Be faithful to the faith you profess in Christ. Let God trust you that you will not abandon the responsibility He gave you. Be another Jonathan who irrespective of the fact that he was the prince defied his father to save DAVID . You will never sit for long The throne you do not Honour !!!
Do not hide the truth from your friend only to blame him or her with the word later when he has failed! Being faithful is not about immediate gain but about your integrity. Do not be swayed!!!
Prayers:
Oh Lord, I am sorry for any way I may not have been faithful to you, our church and friends. From today I chose to be faithful . Give me the grace to be faithful and not to betray my friends and family in Jesus name.
