A LIFE OF CONSTANT PRAISE
Scripture: I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.”* (Psalm 34:1)
Beloved, today we begin with a powerful reminder from the words of David: ‘I will bless the Lord at all times.”* In our scripture Notice that David didn’t say he would only bless the Lord when things were going well. He didn’t say he would praise God when he felt like it. No, David made a deliberate choice—he would bless the Lord at all times, this is exactly what the lord requires also from us.
Let’s be honest—life is filled with ups and downs. There are moments when it’s easy to lift our hands in praise, and there are moments when it feels like praise is the hardest thing to do. But David’s life, filled with triumphs and trials, shows us that praise is not just an emotional response. It is an act of faith. When we choose to praise God in every season, we are declaring that we trust in His goodness, His sovereignty, and His love, no matter what.
Think about this for a moment: How would your life change if you decided to praise God at all times? Not just when you receive a blessing, but when you’re waiting for one. Not just when you feel joy, but when you’re facing hardship. Please note this, When we praise God, even in difficult circumstances, we invite His peace, His presence, and His power into our lives.
Harry Ironsides once said, *“We would worry less if we praised more. Thanksgiving is the enemy of discontent and dissatisfaction.”* Praise takes our eyes off our problems and puts them on the One who holds the solution.
Now, think about the challenges you might be facing today. How can you praise God in the middle of those difficulties? Perhaps, instead of focusing on the problem, you can focus on who God is—He is good, He is faithful, and He is working all things together for your good, even when you can’t see it (Romans 8:28).
When we praise God, we are reminded of His character and His promises. So, no matter what you’re facing today, declare that *“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Prayer Point: Lord, we come before you today, and we choose to bless you in every circumstance. Whether we are on the mountaintop or in the valley, we know that you are with us, and you are worthy of our praise. Help us to keep your praise continually in our mouths and to trust your plan, even when we don’t understand it. Strengthen our faith, and let our lives be marked by worship and thanksgiving. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
