TOPIC: THOSE WHO WATCH YOUR BACK AND COVER YOUR NAKEDNESS
SCRIPTURE: And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness. Genesis 9:23.
Relationship is very critical to destiny fulfilment. Who you relate with determines where you will end in life. Many people have ruined their destinies because of wrong relationships. This is why it is important to engage wisdom in relationship by relating selectively.
A major aspect of relationship wisdom is knowing the kind of people to relate with. So, in our study today, you are encouraged to relate with people who can cover your back and veil your nakedness, and not those who can stab you at the back or join those who do so. Do not relate with those who will expose your faults, errors or mistakes in order to ridicule you. Rather, relate with those who can cover your back. You know, no matter how wise you are, you cannot see the back of your head.
So, you must relate with friends who can cover you at the back to prevent your being stabbed by enemy arrows from behind you. Relate with people who would not stab you at the back. People who cover your nakedness are people who would not expose your faults, errors, mistakes or weakness to others. There are people who expose the failure of their friends to others.
They are usually the first to make the world know the mistake of their so-called friends. This is wickedness! You are not a true friend if people trust you with sensitive information about their lives, and you begin to use same information to ridicule them. ensure that you relate with people who will not expose your weaknesses.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You help me to discover and relate with people who will cover my back and veil my nakedness, in Jesus Name.
