GOODSEED DAILY DEVOTION June 10th 2025

Topic: The Sabbath Day Values in Church(continue)

VERSE OF THE DAY: Hebrews 10:25.
Not forsaking our meeting together, as is the habit of some, but
encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day of
Christ’s return approaching.”

Sunday services are like a car MOT or a visit to your GP for a health check-up;  church is where you refresh and regenerate your spiritual power for the new week.

Church services teach and uplift us. What we learn at church provides guidance on how to follow God, improve our spirituality, and live better lives. It’s where we receive corrections and change our attitudes
toward others, drawing them back to God.

You can be uplifted by fellow believers and the testimonies you hear and the opportunity to serve and worship. You can also feel the Holy Spirit, who brings “love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, and faith” (Galatians 5:22).

*You gain a sense of belonging.*
The church is a community where we can socialize and support one another. You can make friends, feel a sense of belonging, and build a support network. The church community helps us “mourn with those that
mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort” (Mosiah 18:9) and celebrate with those celebrating.

“For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ‘You shall
love your neighbor as yourself.’” — Galatians 5:14

God can speak to you through praise and worship or the words of God from
the pastor or teachers.

You can find answers at church. If you’re struggling with a specific
question or need direction in your life, or simply need to feel God’s
love, church is a good place to listen to sermons and study God’s
teachings. You will have opportunities to receive insight from God, who
desires to communicate with you.

I remember before I became a pastor, during a Sunday service, the
minister’s words were so powerful that I knew they were meant for me.
I took a step of faith, and today, I share my testimony with many who
are blessed by it. One word from God changed my life forever; all  glory to God. Amen.

Prayer: Lord, let your words produce faith and be fruitful in my life in Jesus name. Amen.
