Topic: Kindness Never Wastes (Pt 2)
VERSE OF THE DAY: Isaiah 54:10
“For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace beremoved,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you.
God is immensely kind toward us, and He wants us to extend that kindness
to one another, not just to our families.
A kind person embodies:
Selflessness: Genuinely kind individuals show concern for others well-being without expecting anything in return.
Consistency: Truly kind people demonstrate compassion regularly, not just in isolated incidents.
Empathy: Kind-hearted individuals can understand and share the feelings of others.
Let me share a story about a couple in the UK. This couple exemplifies kindness in their interactions with everyone they meet, much like
Abraham and Sarah. They live in a two-bedroom flat in London and have opened their home to people from various African countries—some are students new to the UK, while others are stranded and abandoned by friends and family.
In the UK, it’s uncommon to accommodate guests for longer than two weeks due to financial constraints. Yet, some of these individuals stayed with this couple for eight months to a years, without paying for accommodation or bills. The couple helped find jobs for students to support their tuition fees and transportation. They acted as parental figures at weddings and offered support until their guests could stand on their own. Many found partners and experienced many blessings through this couple.
In reward for their kindness, the couple received resident permits to stay in the UK after just over eight years, instead of the typical 14 years. By 12 years, they obtained indefinite leave to remain, instead of the expected 20 years.
Those people they helped organized a surprise birthday party for the man, renting a hall for 250 people, providing food, drinks, and entertainment. He was overwhelmed by the gifts, money gifts and kindness shown to him.
When you are kind to others, it is never wasted. God will surely reward you and men would also reward you.

love them as myself, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
