GOODSEED DAILY DEVOTION September 4th, 2025

Topic: BREATH OF LIE

Scripture:
GENESIS 2:7
“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.”

Message
Today, I remember the creation story. God scooped up a handful of soil, breathed life into it and made man. This words are not figurative and definitely are not evolutionary. This words cannot be contested and in spite of people trying to argue about the nature of how man came into existence, All I know is that God made something out of nothing then and continues to do so now!

He takes our worthless parts and gives them value. He imparts our exhaustion with vitality, our weakness with strength, and our loneliness with love. He makes whole our brokenness, fills our emptiness, and replaces despondency with hope and sorrow with joy. He gives sight to the part that is unseeing, perception to the part that is unheard, and a voice to the part that is mute. He replaces our shame and disgrace with forgiveness and mercy. He takes our soiled parts, washes them in His blood, and makes them clean. He fills that cold void in our core with hearts of compassion and scoops us out of darkness into his marvelous light. He holds us in the palm of His hand, takes all of our deadness and decay, and breathes new life into us.

*Prayer*
Father God, thank You for taking this handful of soil and filling me with life anew! Thank You for being who You say You are. You are faithful and True. Your mercy is from everlasting to everlasting. Thank You for holding me as Your child, within Your heart, every moment of every day. Thank You for making a way for me to know You. Breathe on me Lord. Breathe on me new life, Your hope, Your peace and Your purpose. Breathe on me renewed strength to do Your will and forever to be Your child. May I never take this new life for granted for me to carry the very breath of Your life within me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

1st Thessalonians 5:23, says, “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ”. Amen and amen.
