Topic: THE ESSENCE OF WORSHIP (1)
Scripture:
PSALM 95:6-7
O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our_ _God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand_ . _Today if ye will hear his voice._
Worship is essential to the life of every believer in Christ. Christ is the purpose of the believer. We exist to worship.
We are created, crafted and made for God’s purpose. Therefore the life of worship must be our culture or way of life.
This is the reason why we spend a good deal of time each Sunday morning simply celebrating and worshiping God through music and prayer.
This is not just a warm-up to the sermon or message. It’s not an optional part of the service.
This is part of our essential purpose as believers and also as a church.
We are crafted and created to worship God.
The English word “worship” comes from the word “worth-ship,” meaning how much something is worth.
So when you worship God, you are saying that God is worth it.
God is worthy of all your adoration, love, excitement and praise. Think about it.
How often do you expend your energy and resources on things that are not really worth it?
I can think of many of activities, projects, ventures, and purchases in my life that in the long run were just not worth it.
Today I can look back on number of things and honestly say, “I wasted my time on that.” Or, “I wasted my money on that.” But you will never have that problem when it comes to worshiping God.
God is always worth it, and he is worthy of your first and your best.
When you bow before God in worship, your circumstances will bow before you.
When you bow before God in worship, shame is terminated from your life.

I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my Mouth, I was born to_ _sing the Praises of God in Jesus Name Amen.
