Topic: OFFER YOUR LIFE TO GOD
Scripture: ROMANS 12:1
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service._
Does God have all of you ?
Have you surrendered every department of your life to Him?
Have you surrendered your issues, pain and situation to God?
Real worship is offering God your very life.
Worship is much more than what simply takes place on Sunday mornings.
Worship is more than the song that we sing. It is the life that we live for God on the face of the earth.
ASCRIBING value and worth to God is offering him your very life.
Everyone lives for someone or something. And whatever you live for is that to which you ascribe ultimate value.
The person who lives for pleasure values pleasure more than anything else.
The person who lives for power values power.
The person who lives for money values money.
The person who lives for self values self. In the same way, the person who lives for God values God above of all.
When you live for God, when you offer your very life to him, you are ascribing ultimate value or worth to God. This is part of your worship.
Sometimes when we talk about offering our life, we think in terms of actually dying. We think about the soldier who offers up his or her life in war, or Jesus who offered up his life as a sacrifice for all.
Romans 12:1 speaks of _offering our bodies to God “as living sacrifices.”_
God is not talking about dying for Christ here, but living for Christ.
There are many people who have died for Christ throughout the ages. We call them martyrs for the faith, and we should have the utmost respect and admiration for their sacrifice.
Every martyr, long before they died for Christ, first learned to live for Christ, and that is what Romans 12:1 is talking about.
God wants you to give him your whole life, completely and without reservation.
You have to get to this point where all that matters in your life is God. You are not holding anything back.
To Worship God means worshiping him in spirit and in truth. Real worship is offering God your very life.
PRAYER:
Dear God, all that I have, all that I am, I give it to you. Use me for your kingdom and glory. I offer my body and my life as a living sacrifice, pleasing and holy to you. I value you, O Lord above all other things. I worship you._
