SCRIPTURE: And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them. Mark 6:12-13
I discovered the mystery of the oil when I was in the high school. One of my classmates had peptic ulcer disease. He had taken the highest level of anti-ulcer drugs, yet no solution. He was on Ranitidine, Cimetidine and other such drugs but there was no improvement. The next thing was for him to do a surgery called vagotomy so he could have peace.
Within that period, I went to visit him in his family home. He had his hand on his tummy writhing in pains, obviously in tears. I was moved with compassion for him and anger against the devil behind the affliction, so I declared: “The Bible said, Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick (James 5:14-15). I stand here as an elder representing every elder of the Church.” Immediately, I commanded the ulcer with anger, “Get out!”, and then anointed him with oil. With speed, he jumped up shouting: “I am healed! I can’t feel anything anymore”. Then I realized that what God says concerning the Anointing Oil is real.
The anointing oil is a mystery that God instituted from the Bible for the healing and deliverance of His people. The Spirit of God transmits healing power through the Anointing Oil.
Beloved, don’t just carry that oil bottle carelessly. Revelation determines reality. What you know determines what you show. Things don’t just happen because you carry the anointing oil; they happen by the faith backing the carriage of the oil. Things happen by the revelation with which you operate. The devil does not fear your face, he fears your light.
You can behave like Smith Wigglesworth who was always in possession of the anointing oil. Refuse to use the anointing oil only religiously. Let light and revelation fuel your application of the anointing oil where necessary.
PRAYER: Lord, by the power of the anointing, I declare the termination of every yoke or affliction in my life. My family, I and all that are related or connected to us are untouchable by the devil and his agents, in Jesus’ Name.
