TOPIC: PERPETUATING TRANSGENERATIONAL GLORY
SCRIPTURE: One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. Psalm 145:4
Sometime ago, one of the young men that grew up with me was talking with me on phone. He said to me, “Sir, I thank God for your life. You are one of the people God has helped to maintain a dimension of the glory that existed in their generational line.
You are one of those who ensure that the old glory we use to hear about was not lost. I was surprised at what he said. It reminded me of what another young man who I prayed for and assisted, told me. God has helped this other young man and he is now doing very well in life. This was what he told me: “You assisted me to ensure sir that the calling of God on my life was not lost. You know, Abraham’s father, Terah, was destined to be great but his greatness was cut short. But when Abraham came on-board, he realized that greatness. Abraham achieved the greatness his father could not achieve.
Many times, we have heard some people say, “I inherited nothing from my lineage other than liabilities.” And when you look at the lives of such people, their fathers may not have lived exemplary lives. They may be people that lived an evil and diabolic lifestyle. But to you, beloved, I say, “Congratulations” because God is using you to start a new generation with a positive example of impact and greatness. Even if you inherited nothing from your parents, God will use you to start and perpetuate a new order of glory, honour, fame, and dignity that will be transferred to your next generation after you.
I decree that your glory and the glory of God upon your life shall not only rise; it will also be transferred to your children and to generations after you, in Jesus Name. Beloved, You must Refuse to be like your parents if no greatness was transferred from them to you. Make up your mind to be great, and endeavour to transfer your greatness to your children.
PRAYER: Lord, I reject every spell of littleness and emptiness. I ask for the grace to walk in the realm of tangible glory so I can transfer same to the generations after me, in Jesus’ Name.
