Topic: GREATER LOVE (John 3:16)

Scripture:
John 15:13-15, KJV
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.”

The Holy Spirit Is Our Friend and a good friend indeed.”I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through his Prophets.

Friends take interest in what concerns one another and go to great lengths to ensure that it succeeds or comes out well.

Because you have the Holy Spirit Jesus sent living in you, and because He will never leave you, I know He is your dearest Friend!

Pause and think about this for a second: the Holy Spirit, present at creation with God the Father and God the Son, who is Himself fully God and is one with Jesus, desires a friend relationship with you. A real heart-to-heart relationship where you talk to Him and He talks to you. Does that stun you with wonder?

When Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit, He said, “He will be with you forever” (John 14:16). So no matter where you go, He is always with you. You will never outgrow this friendship. You will never mature out of this friendship. You will never drift apart from this dearest Friend.

*The Holy Spirit whom Jesus sent on Pentecost is your best Friend because He is always with you. The Holy Spirit has come to dwell in you! He has been given to be your constant companion.*

*To develop your friendship with the Holy Spirit, you must show commitment by getting to know Him, His will and plans. You have to show a demonstrated commitment to Him by actively working towards protecting His interests and doing His will.*

What do you think about the Holy Spirit as your Friend? Is this a new idea to you? Do you want to be His friend? If you do, pray and tell Him how you feel about Him and that you will like to know Him better.

PRAYER
Father God, thank You, for giving me, the Holy Spirit, to dwell in me and be my Friend forever. Thank You, God, for the grace for Jesus calling me His friend. You have blessed me with more than I could ever have imagined. Fill me with wisdom, discernment, and faithfulness. By your strength and guidance, may the love of the Father God be illuminated through me, in Jesus’s name. Amen.
