Topic: BEING A VESSEL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD.

Scripture Reading: “Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?”— Romans 9:21 (NIV)

Reflection:The Bible teaches us that God created humanity as vessels—set apart, holy, and useful to the Master. In Romans 9:21, we are reminded of God’s sovereignty as the potter, shaping us for His divine purposes. As Christians, it is essential to remain accessible and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit, allowing ourselves to be used for God’s glory. God’s original intention was for us to be vessels in His house, filled with His presence and purpose. It is a profound privilege that out of many, He chooses us to contain His Spirit and reflect His glory. When we allow ourselves to be filled with the Holy Spirit, we become instruments through which God can work, bringing His love, grace, and truth to the world. To be a vessel of honor means to be receptive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance and to willingly step into the roles God has for us. This requires humility, surrender, and a desire to be used for His purposes. As we embrace our identity as vessels, we not only experience His glory in our lives but also become conduits through which His glory can flow to others.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, I present myself as a vessel to be used by You today and forevermore. Fill me with Your presence and guide my actions so that I may reflect Your love and grace to those around me. Help me to be receptive to Your leading and to fulfill the purpose You have for my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Contemplation:   • In what ways can you make yourself more available to be used by the Holy Spirit?   • Reflect on the unique gifts and talents God has given you. How can you use them as a vessel for His glory?

Action Step: Today, take a moment to seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance in your daily activities. Ask Him to reveal opportunities where you can be a vessel of His love and grace. Look for ways to serve others, whether through words of encouragement, acts of kindness, or sharing your faith. Let your life be a testament to the glory of God.
