The joy of the Lord is not based on our circumstances, or personal disposition, it is rooted in Christ. Scripture says in Nehemiah 8:10, ‘The joy of the Lord is your strength.’ That means even in difficult seasons, God’s joy sustains us, strengthens us, and carries us through. As such, in the good and the bad, one thing will always remain in our hearts, “the joy of the lord”.
