UK Worship Artist Becomes Label’s First Contemporary Christian Signing
British singer-songwriter and worship leader Elle Limebear has signed with Decca Records, becoming the historic label’s first contemporary Christian artist.
The partnership begins with her new single “Give Me Joy,” a modern reworking inspired by the traditional British worship song “Oil in My Lamp.” Limebear said the song was created to communicate the lasting joy she has found through faith, including during difficult seasons.
The signing represents another encouraging indication that contemporary Christian music is gaining greater recognition within the wider British music industry.
News 2: CalledOut Music Celebrates Life With “What A Life”
British gospel artist CalledOut Music has released “What A Life,” an uplifting blend of Afro-Gospel, R&B and pop centred on gratitude and recognising God’s goodness.
The song previews his forthcoming album, The Room, which will be released on 21 August. The project was recorded with musicians working together live in a Nashville studio and reflects influences from his British upbringing, Nigerian heritage and current life in the United States.
News 3: Leanna Crawford Releases Thank God
Christian singer-songwriter Leanna Crawford has released her 11-track sophomore album, Thank God.
The project includes “Borrow Mine,” “Living Room Floor,” the title track and “Water into Wine” featuring Seph Schlueter. Crawford co-wrote every song, exploring gratitude, forgiveness, surrender and trusting God through unexpected circumstances.

News 4: DOE Announces Third Album, Shiloh
Grammy-winning gospel artist DOE will release her third album, Shiloh, through Sony/Provident on 28 August.
Its newest single, “High Praise,” features a choir of DOE’s family members and friends. The song was created as a communal declaration that worship belongs to God rather than merely a showcase for one vocalist.
The project will also include previously released songs such as “Know Your Name” and “To You” featuring Joe L Barnes.
News 5: Tyler Hubbard Records Song Inspired by The Chosen
Country artist Tyler Hubbard will release “All I Need Is You” tomorrow as the first song from a new collection inspired by the television series The Chosen.
Hubbard said watching the series had become a regular family activity and that the song allowed him to address humanity’s need for Jesus outside his usual country-music style.
Additional artists involved in the companion music project are expected to be announced later.
News 6: South Korean Leader Calls for Responsible “AI Media Missionaries”
South Korean Christian leader and futures scholar An Jong-bae is encouraging churches to equip ordinary Christians to use artificial intelligence for multilingual gospel content and cross-cultural communication.
His proposal would involve pastors, worship leaders, young people, teachers and media professionals using technology to translate and adapt Christian resources for different cultures.
An also warned that AI should support rather than replace preaching, pastoral care, prayer, spiritual discernment or genuine human relationships. He urged churches to prioritise truth, accountability, human dignity and love rather than efficiency alone.
News 7: Austrian Hotel Becomes an Unexpected Mission Field
Josef and Rebekka Schneider originally planned to use income from operating a former Catholic seminary in Austria to fund a traditional church plant.
Instead, they came to view the 70-room hotel itself as their place of ministry. Through hospitality, employment, community relationships and care for guests, the couple say they have witnessed increased trust, long-term staff loyalty and baptisms.
Their story highlights how Christian mission can also take place through entrepreneurship and everyday working relationships.
News 8: Pastor Nihad Hassan Released in Syria
Pastor Nihad Hassan, head of the Evangelical Kurdish Church in Beirut, was released from Syrian detention on 3 August, which was also his birthday.
Hassan had been detained on 19 July over allegations connected to social-media comments posted in 2021. His lawyer said the alleged offence was covered by a government amnesty and that an Aleppo judge ordered his release along with the return of his vehicle and personal belongings.
The World Evangelical Alliance welcomed his release and highlighted his humanitarian and pastoral work among displaced communities in Syria and Lebanon.
