News 1: FORREST FRANK’S JESUS GENERATION TOUR DRAWS MORE THAN HALF A MILLION
Christian Music Tour Closes After 519,000-Plus Attendance
Forrest Frank’s The Jesus Generation Tour has concluded after drawing more than 519,000 people across 29 cities in two months, according to promoter TPR.
The final show at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, attracted more than 35,000 people. TPR described the run as the biggest Christian music tour to date, while the tour also reached No. 5 on Pollstar’s LIVE75 and No. 11 on the Global Concert Pulse.
The scale of the tour is another indication that contemporary faith-based music is increasingly capable of filling the same arenas and stadiums used by major mainstream touring acts.
News 2: Tasha Cobbs Leonard Announces Tasha Unscripted
Tasha Cobbs Leonard has announced a new live album, Tasha Unscripted, arriving 11 September through Motown Gospel/Capitol Christian Music Group.
Recorded before a live audience in Atlanta, the project features appearances from artists including Jonathan McReynolds, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Mickey Guyton, William Murphy and Israel Houghton. The first newly released performance is “Gracefully Broken/Who the Son Sets Free (Live)” featuring Israel Houghton.
Cobbs Leonard is also preparing for her Tasha Unscripted Nights Tour, while she is scheduled to receive the Aretha Franklin Icon Award at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards on 15 August.
News 3: Vineyard Worship UK Launches New Worship Project
Vineyard Worship UK & Ireland has released “Reign Forevermore,” the title track and first single from a new EP due in October.
The song was written by Lizzy Reid, Noah Freeland, Joshua Fraser and Jon Solway, sung by Andrew Reid of Catalyst Vineyard in Aberdeen, and recorded live at Riverside Vineyard in London. Vineyard describes the recording as a congregational declaration centred on the reign of Jesus.
Its Celtic-influenced arrangement gives this week’s UK Christian release slate a distinctive sound while remaining designed for congregational worship.
News 4: Korean Church Near DMZ Becomes Symbol of Reconciliation
Christians are being invited today to pray with churches in Korea as part of the Sunday of Prayer for the Peaceful Reunification of the Korean Peninsula.
Global Ministries is highlighting the Church of Reconciliation and Peace, built near the Korean Demilitarized Zone in Cheorwon. The church serves not only as a place of worship but also as a centre for peace education, spiritual formation and reconciliation.
The Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea hopes the ministry can demonstrate how Christian communities can pursue reconciliation even before political divisions are resolved.
News 5: Court Affirms Christian Woman’s Religious Identity
Iraq’s highest appellate court has upheld a ruling allowing a Christian woman, identified publicly by the pseudonym Maryam, to have her religious affiliation officially recognised as Christian rather than Muslim in state records.
Maryam had been automatically registered as Muslim after her mother remarried a Muslim man, despite being raised in a Christian family. The ruling requires authorities to correct the official designation. Religious-freedom advocates supporting the case have welcomed it as an important development for freedom of conscience in Iraq.
Rather than leading today’s bulletin with persecution, this positive legal development is worth noting because it shows that religious-freedom reporting can also include progress.
News 6: MAPS Global Annual Gathering Concludes With Commissioning
Annual Gathering 2026 at MAPS Global in Richmond, Virginia, concludes today after four days combining worship, biblical teaching and missions-focused ministry.
Today’s programme includes a Sunday service led by R.A. Martinez and MAPS Global Music, followed by a commissioning at noon. The wider gathering has focused on connecting worship with global mission and included teaching on missions bases, prayer, leadership and the Great Commission.
