TOPIC: ACCESSING LIGHT FROM SCRIPTURES

SCRIPTURE: But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; Romans 10:8.

Faith in God has been confirmed to be a major key to a life of victory and greatness on earth. And the Word of God is the fuel for faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). The Word of God is the building block of faith. Now, the process of building our faith by the Word entails accessing light from Scriptures. You can access light through the study of the Word, meditating on the Word and listening to preached messages.

Let me give you an illustration from Scripture: there was a woman whose daughter was sick; she came to Jesus and asked Him to heal her daughter. But he (Jesus) answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Matthew 15:26. This is the light from this Scripture: Divine healing is bread for children. The woman was looking for healing but Jesus told her that it was not good to give the children’s bread to dogs. So, it is an established fact that Divine healing is the bread of the children of God. Now, Matthew 6:11 says, Give us this day our daily bread. Jesus was saying that when we pray, we should ask God to give us our daily bread. So, as a Christian, you are entitled to live in health on a daily basis.

When you access this kind of light from Scriptures, it keeps you in the realm of faith. Even among men, every good father gives food to his children. And anyone who does not feed his children is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). Here, God is telling man to feed his family, and that anyone who deprives his family is worse than an infidel. Beloved, the same God who expects man to give his children food daily cannot deprive us, His own children, of our daily allocation of bread (Divine healing). Beloved, Make the study of God’s Word a priority in your life. Ask God to open your eyes to behold wondrous things out of His Word.

PRAYER: Father, I ask that You open my eyes to behold wondrous things out of Your Word, in Jesus’ Name.
