Topic: FULLY PERSUADED.
VERSE OF THE DAY : Romans 4:21. “Being fully convinced that God had the power to do what He had promised.
Paul was speaking about Abraham to encourage believers in Rome. Abraham was fully persuaded that God would fulfill His promises. Why? Because he was continually convinced that God’s promises would come to pass. He did not say, “I am old,” or “My wife cannot bear children.” If you practice God’s Word, you will see results in your life.
If you do not act in faith according to what God has promised, His Word may feel like a lie to you. God’s Word was never a lie for Abraham, nor for the great people of faith in the Bible. When confronted with facts in your life, you might wonder, “Has God lost His power?” Absolutely not! He is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever. He can do all that He has done before to fulfill His promises.
He only requires your faith and obedience. Jesus Christ and the Word are one. He is the Word in action. God speaks to us today through His Word. God calls into existence that which does not exist, by faith. Those who live by faith lack nothing. Let us imitate Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to obey and believe Your words, and to stand on Your promises, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
